Thats my website!!!! at laura.monster. npm run or whatever and it should work, details on teh package, its not worth writing this down because its always changing.
Holy shit its been 10 years and i forgot so lets write this down at 11 because why not. All old versions on this repo are backdated to the initial commit in 2017 but web.archive puts the og in 2015 so lets go w that.
Its been 11 years of this give or take () from and you know what? what an insanely consistent aesthetic here. glitches, purple, bit of a tasteful eyesore. shit-ass css. it's all here. Yellow? lemme get there.
Turns out this website has always been in tension between way too serious and unreadable garbage. A weird of pride is that at #5 i stopped just stealing pictures of the internet (which at the time was okay for individuals to do you see) and those are my own pics AND icons. It also looks incredible. I dropped it bc it didnt work on mobile and in
#7 goes hard with the 3d if you ignore the freaky-ass topology and the inexplicable blue. this and #2 are the only non-purples and ah shit nevermind, #8 is pink - but to be fair thats the pink that now goes with the purple on #9 which at the time of writing is, like, the current page,
Guys its been long enough i can say - that was the theme of my bedroom at my parents and it looked banging. im seeing this now and that is clearly the room of somebody who hadnt puked on enough bar bathrooms yet because thats the entire vibe im getting.
I wanna hate but honestly it looks so cool you can tell thats an angsty girl who hasnt had proper reasons to be angsty yet. Anyway, still cannot explain the blue on the 3d models era, it looks awful and im sorry but the little rainbow was a nice touch.
If there's a constant (i thought it would be the purple but we debunked that) is that every time theres an update the link order has changed again. some of these were definitewly linked to times of personal growth where I wanted to be perceived for something in particular and then some have linkedin first and i have no clue what the fuck i was thinking there. In general the more serious looking sites seem to be short lived, like i can't commit to the bit.
Are being, like, super violated. Sorry, I actually run a lean ship in terms of not intentionally dropping cookies or using client-side analytics but some pages load google fonts, the archives are a rats nest, and im planning to do a little music player. My understanding of GDPR is that i need yall to consent to all this third party stuff before serving it which sounds insane and i dont wanna do it
Did think of making a little cookie banner but my understanding of gdpr is that if any of you wants to sue anyway then whatever i can come up with will somehow be insufficient and i should have used one of the 3 vendors that actually did the homework and look like shit - thats not happening so we are breaking the law instead. lightly. like not paying for bags at the self checkout. technically theft but come on.
I could have never imagined, making the first website, that i'd be here today documenting this for the swarm of rogue ais that now patrol the internet to consume. the mcrib came back. several times. github is like hella wider now, i got a cat now, shes the best thing that ever happened to me, - also a bit of a dick - she should be around for the next decade too, at least assuming any of us are. maybe she can learn to code and finally write some tests or something
