Description of the new feature / enhancement
I would like PowerToys to let me force standard Windows title bars on applications.
I appreciate what Grab And Move is trying to accomplish, but it feels to me like reinventing a square wheel. I see all these issues/bug reports about snap assist, double-click to maximize, drag to the top edge to maximize, raise the window on click, Esc to cancel dragging, FancyZones compatibility, removing the window highlight, and more.
You know what fixes all those issues? Freaking title bars!
In addition, title bars provide useful visual information about which window has focus when accent colors are enabled. Title bars are incredibly helpful for people with certain visual or motor disabilities.
It makes me insane that modern apps have largely ditched incredibly useful title bars that were perfected over 30 years ago so now we need some silly new feature with dozens of bug reports. It's a usability and accessibility nightmare. Can we please normalize putting title bars with accent colors back into Windows??
Supposedly Windhawk has this feature but it is blocked on my work computer. I'm hoping the PowerToys team can solve this problem in a way that is more compatible with locked-down corporate machines.
Scenario when this would be used?
Every time I need to move a window, or determine which window has focus.
Supporting information
Look at every version of Windows from Windows 3.x to Windows 10 to see how useful they are.
