Copilot CLI lets us set a setting "respectGitignore" to false. Right now I cannot find a settings for this in the app.
I believe it is not only my workflow to have a local, git ignored, important files in the repo (e.g. plans) that I'd like to attach in the chat. Right now I can't, file picker doesn't see them. When explicitly asked about existing of given gitignored file, agent answer such file doesn't exist.
ref similar problem that was reported for the CLI, there I found the settings flag: github/copilot-cli#2084
